FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)
When and where is the event?
Friday, February 20, 2026, at Brasero.pv restaurant in Puerto Vallarta.
- Dinner & mingling: from 6:00 PM CST
- Storytelling show: 8:00–10:00 PM CST. Restaurant address: 277 Las Americas, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco 48330. Google Maps link.
How much does it cost to attend?
Admission is free. You only pay for your own dinner, drinks, or whatever you order at the restaurant. No cover charge or tickets required.
Can I tell a story if I’m not in Puerto Vallarta?
Originally, we were going to allow remote viewers to also tell a story. We have decided to focus on the local participants and allow the online audience to still watch. In the future, we hope to allow remote participation.
Do I have to submit the submission form or can I just show up and tell a story?
Yes, we would much prefer everyone fill out the form so we know how many people want to share a story and the content so we can properly plan.
What kind of stories are you looking for?
True, personal stories only—3 to 10 minutes long. Funny, touching, wild, heartfelt, unbelievable—anything real from your life. No fiction, and keep it positive and inclusive (suitable for a diverse audience). We have no specific theme for this event. If you need help coming up with a story, check out our 150 suggested topics.
Can I remain anonymous as a speaker?
Yes, you can absolutely remain anonymous during the event—we don’t have to use your real name on stage or in promotions. We’ll respect your privacy and only use a preferred name, alias, or no name at all if you prefer.
However, for safety, coordination, and backup purposes, we do require your real contact information when you submit your story:
- A working email you check regularly
- A real phone number you can answer
Your info stays private and is used only for event purposes.
Is there priority seating for storytellers?
No priority seating—we treat everyone equally. If you’re on the roster, arrive early (from 6:00 PM) to secure a good spot.
Can I just watch online?
Yes! Simply tune in live on YouTube or Facebook feed.
What if my plans change and I can’t make it?
If you submitted a story and get selected but can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible (reply to our confirmation message). Last-minute no-shows make it harder to adjust the show fairly.
